Miist Therapeutics
Jeff Schuster, a UC Berkeley Physics PhD with 35 patents on inhaled drug delivery, along with Dalton Signor and Eric Ezerins, invented a novel inhaler that targets previously inaccessible regions of the lung to reduce medicine delivery from 20-30 minutes to 30 seconds. The number of applications for such an exponential jump in delivery speed is wide ranging, from asthma and pneumonia to migraines and pain management. The initial blue ocean strategy is the Miist Nicotine Inhaler for prescription smoking and vaping cessation. Miist is addressing an epidemic that is gripping 50+ million teenagers and adults in the United States alone, and insurance companies are willing to reimburse Miist up to $1500 per prescription.
