Calyx
Ray Chiu, a Calyx Berkeley Chemical Engineer, collaborated with fellow Berkeley scientists Benson Fan and Jimmy Leu to develop low-cost, high-accuracy sensors for real-time detection and analysis of air chemicals. The bio-engineered sensors are combined with AI-driven software to create cutting-edge sensor platforms capable of detecting a wide range of airborne chemicals.
Calyx is intriguing because a bio-engineered sensor revolution could benefit a wide array of critical industries, from animal welfare monitoring and crop protection to homeland security.
